Jimmy2 Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 Wow all i can say is amazing unreal flavor from start to finish these are late 05's. Exotic spices, sweet fruit, wood flavor and a nice bite on the palate . Also i tasted the rich jucie from like a med rare Filet Mignon its nuts never tasted nothing like this .. Had 2 boxes from when they first came out and did not like them at all very bland. What ever Cuba is doing with there late 05 and 06 cigars a big thank you. They are ready to smoke right out of the box (one month's sleep) its about time they get with the time's.
Tampa1257 Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 There have been some marked differences in flavors of many cigars since the reported usage of the aged tobacco in current regular production Habanos. While it is my opinion that the 1 year old Volado, 2 year old Seco and 3 year old Ligero is making a major difference in the initial flavors in the cigars and making them much more approachable very early on after box code dates, I believe that the long term aging of these cigars will also make a significant difference in flavors and enjoyability many years down the road.
Jimmy2 Posted November 6, 2006 Author Posted November 6, 2006 I can smoke these everyday thats how good it was and smoke no other cigar brand.

Are you of the belief that these "new" cigars will smoke well early and continue to smoke well down the road? In other words, 5, 7, 10 years down the road, do you believe these "new" cigars will smoke like "well aged habanos" have smoked in the past?
Jimmy2 Posted November 6, 2006 Author Posted November 6, 2006 Like Tampa said it might be the aged leaf they are using now. All i can say is i was never a big fan of these P2's but after smoking a couple i am now a changed man. Complex /Bold/Memorable thats what the P2 is.:-D
El Presidente Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 Great review Jimmy I hought the P2's were excellent when released but went through a poor patch/batch mid last year. Looks like they are back on track
Jimmy2 Posted November 9, 2006 Author Posted November 9, 2006 Needed to get out and smoke a cigar and yes it was the P2 again. While sitting in the rain with a nice big umbrella with the temps being 60 degree's. I found some new flavors this stick had to offer apricots and a lite metallic taste very lite on the buds. With a whopping dominate cinnamon flavor popping through out my taste buds the only time I had this flavor ever present was the Cohiba Lancero's that I received from Prez a while back. I wonder if it can get any better than this stay tuned..
