I have an opportunity to pick some of these up with RPO OCT01 code. Was 2002 the last year these were made?

From MRN's aIEoP-RHC "Will be discontinued within 2002." He obviously noted this before the fact, so it doesn't ensure he was accurate.

i'd say get 'em if you found because they are not easy to find. this is one of my favorite corona gordas and i have a few left from '99 that are very good. you wouldn't mind emailing me about where you found these would you? i've been looking for another box for almost 2 years now.

I have seen none pass 2002.

Someone step up to the plate and give a flavour description. I have always been disappointed in this one, much like my thoughts on the SLR Serie A. My buds are just not wired in that direction.

So...if you were to describe the perect ERDM Gran Corona....how would you do it?

well, i am horrible at giving reviews, but here is why i have 3 boxes of these resting.. I feel that the ERDM line ages "better" then alot of brands out there.. I put the term better in "" because how can you really judge an opinion.. But, i HATE a mild ERDM of any kind, but with age the cigars develop nicely.. ESPECIALLY (and dont think i am weird) when you first crack open a box, and it has a hint of floral aroma (i know it sounds ***) you know you are in for a box that will age superbly.

Plus, i find that the more uncommon the cigar, the easier it is to find.. This WAS the case with this particular a few months ago..

I have some from late 99. I have to agree with El Prez...I have been disappointed by every single one that I have smoked thus far. It does not seem to follow the ERDM profile at all and tends to be a bit bitter and unapproachable to me. Was hoping for great things...didn't get them.

I like this cigar when in a milder mood. Quite frankly, my 2001s have little flavor thru the first 1/2 inch, but then get slowly stronger & more complex from there. Call me crazy, but I like these more than the Choix Supreme.

Thanks for that.

I really do enjoy a mild, lilting, complex floral cigar. In thatvitola I have always gravitated to the Rafael Gonzalez Corona Extra or the Juan Lopez Seleccion No 1.

Will dig up a ERDMGC and try again :-)

» Get if you can, they're fantastic cigars and certainly not mild.
