On checking my website, I am unable to confirm the ring size of the Cohiba Exquisitos Seoane cigar. Is it ring 33 or ring 36.

Rudmans 4th edit says 36

Perlmans 1st & 2nd edit says 36

Perlmans 3rd edit says 33

Nee says 36

Habanos website & guide says 33

Cuban cigar review w/site says 36

Czar site says 36

Other Aust retailer says 33

Can someone clarify?

Personally, I would go with what the Habanos S.A. site says about the size as I do not have any in my humidor to confirm.

Seoane Exquisitos SBN-VW-C/L-12,13-n-25

Seoane Exquisitos D-C-C/P-5-C/B-25

Which they say that a Seoane is a Long Filler 33 rg

» 36 x 5

Thanks Jimmy2. Can you advise what your source is for this information. As you can see, I have 1 x 36, 1 x 33, and 1 x 33 maybe. Email me direct if you prefer.

This came up on another Board, and I was referred to the online Cigarcyclopedia.

I wasn't aware of all the information that is there), and found the following:

"The Linea Classica is considered medium-to-full in body while the Linea 1492 is medium in body. New sizes have continued to be added to the line. In 2002, the Siglo VI was introduced, a 5⅞-inch by 52-ring (150 x 20.64) toro-sized cigar. About the same time, the size of the Exquisitos was changed from 5 inches by 36 ring (125 x 14.29) to 5 inches by 33 (126 x 13.10). "

That seems to settle it, except the exact date of the change is not clear.

This specific quote comes from the Cohiba section off of the following page:

Yep...that does it. Actually everyone was correct, depending on their point in time. ;-) I have never heard of Habanos actually changing a size for a factory name. They seem to have no hesitation making up new names.

Thank you very much for this posting. Regards, Trevor.

The Exquisitos is my favorite Cohiba so far. I have only had 2004 (33 ring gauge) so far and they are great. I'm going to seek out some older Exquisitos so that I can post comparison photos and reviews at some point.
