From what I understand, these have not been around for that long. So if you have not tried one, definitely worth doing. Had a lovely mix of quite complex flavours - milk coffee, sweet fruit notes, nuts, stonefruit, meatstock and lots more. Appearance is good, tho I never really take to anything with a box press look about it. Burn was excellent. One for the mild and complex basket and really worth chasing. 89.

Stonefruit and Meatstock you say? :-|

Still trying to figure out what that is :-P

Thanks for the review :-D

Yeah Ken purchased a box of these a year ago tried 2 and the rest is in hibernation. Cannot remember much since it is a year ago all ai can remember was it has good burn and has chocolate milk, honey, sweet tobacco flavours.

stonefruit - apricots, necatrines, that sort of thing.

meatstock - if you cook up some stock for use in the kitchen - has that wonderful 'stocky' character (which i am sure does not help at all). quite a rich character.

Was ready to pull the trigger on these and the PSD2's came out. Thanks for the post, I'll include it in my divorce proceedings when my wife gets the next credit card bill.

God knows if the wife tallies all my cigar cost I'm in the deep do.

Now as to Ken's tasting notes. His tongue must be two feet long by three feet wide. It must be to have enough taste buds to catch all that stuff out of a cigar. Actually his palate if just more educated than most of us average guys.:-P

Do not come over here and meet the wife, I'll never have a chance.:-(

Need to get some of those R&J Pyramide, have never tried one.

Oh Crap. I gave the wife a 100.00 bill the other day and she was so impressed. It was cheap smoke screen to throw the dog off the trail. I try to avoid the topic of money and cigars, I never win that one.

Mel.

Ken is a human adjective.

I will give it to him that he has perhaps the best wine palate in the country. It amazes other wine critics that he loves his cigars so much and yet it doesn't apper to interfere with his wine tasting.

Meatstock is without doubt my favourite :-P

If I taste meatstock in one of my cigars I ain't smokin another-un. I mean only meat should taste like meat. Same goes for wine, aftertaste of rabbit or woodchuck don't cut it mate.

Now if he means hearty meaty character that would be a different matter. I would like to have Ken over here in upper East Tenn. for a coutry BBQ. Could he discern squirrel from ground hog or possum? Couple weeks out here and his palate would be rooted for sure.

Now as to the Tom Cruise thing. Depends on your eye glass Rx.

El Prez,

Quite obvious (to me anyway) you are green with envy that Ken has such a refined palate, and able to discern all the nuances of a cigars subtle flavors. You'd be well advised to give him free reign of your humidor so he can advise you on what is smoking well at the moment.

Dragon.

I do respect Ken in many, many ways. His palate is second to none, his Spanish is almost as fluent as mine, he can eat a quarter chicken without using his hands.

I also envy his self survival instinct. He is away until Sunday but PLEASE someone ask him about the punchup that occured last year when he was camping and a guest that he invited took his breakfast sausage

If he was on Survivor, he would kill everyone else on the first night ;-)

» So um... ken... what's this I hear about stealing sausages :-P

Reminder....ask ken about the sausage punch up :lol2:
