Ken Gargett
Not my month for Trinidads as this was very disappointing also. Not as disappointing as the Robusto Extra but still, expected better. Reviewed my notes on these and they have been rather variable. It was okay, some bean and chocolate flavours but the earthy notes taking over. These are not, in my experience, consistent. 84. anyone else finding this? To me the Reyes and the Fundadore are the standout Trinidads albeit I have had very few bad Coloniales. I have forund late 05 and 06 examples to be exceptional. Well Armed
I have found late 05 coloniales to be much like the reyes - fantastic. Always surprise me in a good way.

They have a touch of honey behind a toasted coffee facade that I really like, brought out all the more by a nice glass of Johnny Walker Gold Label. Of course, I might just be looking for a good excuse to drink fine scotch. But I can live with that:-P
