Here are some of the 1st pix I just received from my son-in-law, 1st LT Dru Rxxxxxxx as he settled into his COB (Contingency Operating Base) in Iraq. The pictures show :

a sandstorm developing - Dru says these come up 2 to 3 times a day and manage to blow in sand into every possible square inch - even in areas that are 'sealed'

A Good Reason to keep busses on the paved surfaces and stay out of the sand !
