El Presidente
Testing was almost signed off when we ran into a small problem on a high humidity day when the door was open and shut numerous times. The humidity system maintained and corrected itself to an acceptable level, however in order to do so the temperature needed to drop to 12 degrees Celsius, the change of which in my opinion is not necessarily too low, just too dramatic in such a short space of time. Without sounding like a tosser, we have gone upscale in the refrigeration to a technology which is used in the manufacture of incubators. This should provide a much higher level of control. Give us another couple of weeks to perfect :-)

jay8354
El Prez, mmm, interesting note on the need to lower the temperature. Also, without sounding like a tosser, since you have gone upscale does this affect the price of the units? Are the units still able to be delivered nationally / internationally? What do they look like? Thanks.

I haven't worried about price. They need to work properly. I also figured that if one were to store some 50 boxes of cigars you would be looking at $15000 USD of stock (or with taxes $27000 AUD). Essentially they are a large wine cabinet (which provides capacity) with some top end climate control mechanics which 99% of wine cabinets do not have. They will be available internationally as the base unit is an international brand already established in all markets. It will come down to cost of the unit as to how successfull it will be. However, there is no benefit to anyone in producing a second class product.
smokelaw1
Sure, no one wants a second class unit, but price might still be a consideration. With a few wonderful temp control units out there in this size range for 3-4000 US, much more would be potentially damaging to the success of the unit, no? Good luck! The world needs good cooled humis in this size (and bigger!)
