anacostiakat Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 After the purosdecubana thread and emails I got to thinking about the quoted prices being all the same. How many have seen or know someone who purchases purported legit product all at the same price? I know of two people in my area and not only do I not believe the product is legit but one of them showed up with a box of SIG VIs with a legit factory code but no month stamp on the box. Only a year. Oh, and I dont understand how someone could be sold on an "all the same price" schedule. The marketing logic escapes me. I can smell out a fart in a phone booth! ;-)
El Presidente Posted June 15, 2006 Posted June 15, 2006 This scammer has nothing to lose: 1. He has no stock 2. He has no idea 3. He has no money He is simply looking for a buyer with the same credentials in points 1 & 2 and looking to reverse point 3 ;-)
n2advnture Posted June 15, 2006 Posted June 15, 2006 » Oh, and I dont understand how someone could be sold on an "all the same price" schedule. Actually, this is kind of an interesting thought to me. Prez - Do you (or your boys at PCC) think that it would greatly benefit Habanos (and affiliates) as well as the consumer to have a basic price structure? ie: All Coronas - $190/box All PC - $165/box etc... This would make things much for simple for the consumer and maybe draw many more people to the hobby. The only real factor between retailers would be their taxes but that could be done at point of sale and not in the listed price. Any thoughts on this? ~Mark
Elric Posted June 15, 2006 Posted June 15, 2006 That would be nice but it does become very problematic when each brand/vitola is produced in different amounts. Altadis/Habanos is all about profit, and gimmicks.
