I recieved a box of this cigar a few days ago. It's a new size I've found and an ideal cigar for someone who prefers robustos but does not always have the leisure time to complete one. I found this to be an excellent and full-bodied cigar with an incredibly easy draw, which i throughly enjoy personally.

This cigar polarises opinion more than any other.....you either love it or hate it.

I have heard it described as smooth and light with a shortbread flavour to flavourless, hot and crap.

This cigar should be starting to hit it's straps now given it has been 2 + years since release.

Can anyone give me a review on an original release HDM PR?

Sure send me a handful - the review will follow shortly after :-D

Pretty sure the ones I have in the humi are from middle of '05? Would only recommend them to someone who enjoys licking urinals -- they are sick puppies right now. Had an earlier release prior to picking these up and found that one an exceptional value for the price (why I bought 50 of my own).

Feel confident they will come around in time.

Of the ones that I have had, I have enjoyed them but they are just too damn small!

Once the flavor gets going on them, they're done...leaving you wanting more.

Same blend in a larger format would be intresting (IMHO of course).

I've got a box coded KMM MAY04. Is that close enough to original? If so, I'll smoke one over the next couple of days and do a review. If not, I'll still smoke one over the next couple of days and do a review.

Of the cigars that I have smoked from this box, they were all medium-bodied with a flavors of wood and mild coffee...also some citrus or floral notes on the finish. Of course, I have not had one in a year.:-D

More to come soon.

I have not had one in over a year also and I think I did recieve from the early release. I remember them to nicotine bombs and deliver a full robusto flavor in a condensed time frame. If you like it hard and fast these are for you.;-)

It is a rare moment when I like a little ciga. But there are times when something short and tasty fits the bill. And these, my friends, are not them. Although they tast quite smooth, the flavor is rich and intense. Cocoa butter on wood toast is how I would describe the 10 minute period where they really shine after about the first inch. Then poof, they are either hot and burning you mouth, or they are gone already. For a shortie, I prefer a slimmer gauge. I like them, don't get me wrong. I just could never convince myself to buy a box. And they are not that cheap either.
