dogbreath Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 Tried one of these at lunch the other day and wow I was surprised. This little guy was full of flavor for such a small vitola (4 x 40). Started with a sharp sense of pepper and spice followed by a slight mellowing with cocoa and nutty flavors. This one was from an 05 box recently received from CC. The wrappers are veiny and dark, sort of like little belgian chocolates. The vitola was firm but the draw was a little easier than I would like. All in all a very satisfying 25 -30 minute smoke breaking up the day. Wish I would have tried these sooner.

anacostiakat Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 Great flavor in these. Have finally smoked the second from a box and am happily surprised at the depth of flavor. I think I am going to try the #1 to see how the flavor compares.
Colt45 Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 My first Havana - creamy, and full of sweet and sour spice. A great cigar.
seadub Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 Thanks for the review... I tried my first #5 the other day as well. It was a gifted smoke so I have no box code info, but it was really tasty. Definitely worth the 25 minutes it took to smoke.
El Presidente Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 I keep saying it. Monte 4 and Monte 5 were the two big comeback cigars of 2005 ;-)
tattoodad13 Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 I've had a couple of these, the first was gifted so no dates and it was tasteless.the last two that I've had were from March of 05 they were a joy to smoke.
cvm4 Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 I love the #5 a lot more then the #4. Definitely a keeper.
