Ken Gargett Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 A single stick from the CZ H’dor. Enjoyed this. The SLR DC’s probably my favourite cigar when time allows. Have had very mixed results with the Churchills - some very good, some poor though precious little in between. This had a box press feel to it, though not pronounced. Started with a minor ragged burn but this quickly righted itself and burn then was excellent, slow and consistent. Very good construction - love it when the cone is in form. Some slightly earthy and raisiny notes and quite full flavoured, though not to the extent of the DC’s. dense smoke. Liked it a lot. If to be critical, it did get marginally more earthy, perhaps even slightly dirty in the last quarter. Overall, really did enjoy this and keen to revisit. 89.

When I first recieved a box they almost tasted like nyquil, very mediciney. Now after a year ,tastes of deep rich chocolate, and annis.
