mongboy Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 My first review, please be gentle. Acquired a 5 pack of these a year ago. Smoked a couple pretty much straight away, very pleasant but couldn't quite see what all the fuss was about. Put the others away to see what would happen with a bit more humi time. After a successful day on the football field (round ball), and being named 'man of the match' :-D , seemed like a good time to revisit the Cohiba ! Used the punch and the stick sparked up without too much fuss. Interspersed with sips of Johnnie Walker Black Label, this cigar burnt evenly the whole way down. First half was very smooth indeed. Slightly tight draw, however I found I didn't need to pull hard (ooer !) to extract the delicious smooth smoke. The second half developed sweet tea characteristics with a hint of creamy cocoa. Smoked this one until my fingers got burnt. Fantastic ! Don't know what it would rate out of 100, but on the mongboy scale it was bloody lovely. Cheers ! PS. Congratulations to Rob and the crew on 1000 FOH members
korryp Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 That was a good review and I'd have to agree. I truly like this stick and it is part of my weekly rotation.
Stuck in Alaska Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 Time does wonderful things to these. The Siglo II is a great cigar that benefits from some age.
El Presidente Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 "Bloody Lovely" on the Aussie scale is high praise indeed Great review mate and congrats on the MOTM performance:ok:
