mulberry Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 As the weather is heating up and our last gasp of cool air has just went through here in Florida, I took this great looking smoke out on back porch and put the torch to it. The construction is just great on this nice dark oily wrapper, no hard spots just a solid rolling job. Clipped the end and had a slightly tight draw but not bad overall First 2" had nothing to speak of, very mild, very lite spice and some sweet flavors. Picked up at halfway point and became more medium bodied and much more peppery spice and sweet fruity flavors. Not much change till the end, maybe a little stronger, but not much. Burned pretty straight all the had to correct only once, nice dark gray ash. Overall it was smooth and not a bad Churchill B+
habanohal Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 Not a fav of mine. Nothing out of the ordinery with these. One dimensional, but with still some decent flavors. But then again, I am not a Churchilll or DC person.
El Presidente Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 These can be excellent. More than a few members have recently cracked open some cabs of 98's which became available. Medium bodied and creamy sweet. I have had great Punch Churchills and ordinary Punch Churchills.
