I am looking to buy a bottle of high end Tequila and need suggestions. Looking for something that would compliment a cigar when drank straight.

For "day to day" I like Sauza - hornitos and conmemorativo. Patron is nice as

well. There are many nice tequilas out there. (stay away from "JC"!!!)

For sipping, in general, I'd go with anejos, though I like reposados as well.

100% agave is a must.

I am a Patron lover. I have all three: reposado, anejos and silver. The first two are wonderful; the silver I can do without. That lime flavor that comes through on the reposado is wonderful!

Patron XO Cafe. Coffee infused tequila. Heat it up in a shot glass with two coffee beans. Superb. ;-)

I bought a few bottles of Leyva 100% Agave last time I was in Mexico. Made the old fashioned way where they bake/ roast the agave "pineapples" in a stone lined pit over wood coals for a few days before crushing/ fermenting them. The smoke flavor is something to behold.:-P

That sounds delicious! I will need to look that up.

It's made at a small family distillery around Puerto Vallarta. Very small operation. I'd like to get more of it myself. Some of the best Agave I've ever had. Quite unique.

They make Añejo and Reposado. Look around on the net, you can find people selling both.

I just ordered a bottle of Zafarrancho Reposado.

Haven't tried it yet, but bought a bottle last month for my brother and he says it's by far the best sipping tequila he's tried.

Love Patron Silver and Anejo. Tesoro Silver, Reposado and Anejo are all nice. El Corazon Blanco and Anejo are excellent. Herradura Anejo is wonderful as well. I could go on and on, but these are my usuals.:ok:

To sip alone with a cigar they don't get any finer than the Don Julio "1942" Tequila Añejo!!!

This tequila is not just from Jalisco.... It is from "Los Altos" de Jalisco where the reddest dirt is at to grow the best agave azul in the state of Jalisco...
