Wiley Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 I'm afraid there's far more habanos that I have not tried than those that I have. I'm hoping to rectify that problem. ;-) Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone would like to chip in a little info on how the Punch Corona fits in the mix with Punch's various corona gorda and mareva offerings. I never see anything written on this cigar. Is it inferior to those other, similarly sized cigars?
n2advnture Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 In my experience, the boxes of 00's & 01's that I have smoked are very complex, spicy, and full bodied cigar with tons of tanins in the last third. The 98s were awesome! BUT I find the draw on this smoke tend to be on the VERY tight side. Maybe once they are a bit older (say 10+ years?) they will loosen up enough to be extremely enjoyable. ~M
idesign Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 I've got a few left from a '98 box. I was a little dissappointed at first, but they've really come on strong....Wish I had more left. Ripe fruit and cedar....

Haven't had any draw problems though.

cigarnv Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 Why is it that you don't ever hear much about this cigar? Given the marca and format one would think it would be a very "hot" cigar.
JMH Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 Frankly I found the to be boring, and one dimensional. Leather, that was it.
