I'm afraid there's far more habanos that I have not tried than those that I have. I'm hoping to rectify that problem. ;-)

Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone would like to chip in a little info on how the Punch Corona fits in the mix with Punch's various corona gorda and mareva offerings.

I never see anything written on this cigar. Is it inferior to those other, similarly sized cigars?

In my experience, the boxes of 00's & 01's that I have smoked are very complex, spicy, and full bodied cigar with tons of tanins in the last third.

The 98s were awesome!

BUT I find the draw on this smoke tend to be on the VERY tight side. Maybe once they are a bit older (say 10+ years?) they will loosen up enough to be extremely enjoyable.

I've got a few left from a '98 box. I was a little dissappointed at first, but they've really come on strong....Wish I had more left. Ripe fruit and cedar....

Yes, the '98s are awesome - they are starting to really smooth out and burst with flavor. Haven't had any draw problems though.

I have a box from Jun 03 and like was said above ...slight draw problems but a thouroughly enjoyable smoke...and they keep getting better...

Why is it that you don't ever hear much about this cigar? Given the marca and format one would think it would be a very "hot" cigar.
