Ken Gargett Posted June 14, 2005 Posted June 14, 2005 Seems that we are only up for three Limited Editions this year. Word is that they are - 1. Montecristo “D” in 8-9-8 cabinets. Factory size: Dalia (43 ring gauge, 170 mm long) 2. Romeo and Julieta “Petit Pirámides” in Semi plain boxes (Ring gauge 50, 127 mm long) 3. H.Upmann “Magnum 50” in Slide Lid Boxes (Ring gauge 50, 160 mm long) Those that have seen them say that the Upmanns are especially good. They are going to be released late August or first weeks of September.
Well Armed Posted June 14, 2005 Posted June 14, 2005 Why in the world do they release the '05 ELs at the end of the year like that? I mean, the Hoyo wasn't available until late '04/early '05. What the frick?
Ken Gargett Posted June 15, 2005 Author Posted June 15, 2005 possibly following the wine analogy and hence not released until ready. to me, doesn't really matter when - more that they are top quality.
El Presidente Posted June 15, 2005 Posted June 15, 2005 Well Armed Surely you have worked out by now the marketing genius which is Habanos s.a . ;-)
GoatLocker Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 Looking forward to the petite pyramide. I tried a Mag 50 from a batch of pre-release SLB's that Manuel Garcia brought to LCDH Tijuana last month and it was great. I might pick a couple more up this weekend. :-p
Cartman Posted June 17, 2005 Posted June 17, 2005 Well I love the Dalia format, so must say that I'll be looking forward to the Monte Ds. RyJ already has the belis, so I really don't see the point of the petite piramides. I think the main attraction must still be the Mag 50s. Heard alot of good stuff about this new addition and I just can't wait to light one up.
