El Presidente Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 I purchased a box of each while in Havana. They were my early morning cigars of choice. Great inexpensive smokes which will be available over the next month or two: Por Larranaga MonteCarlo Por Larranaga Panetela I will post a review of each over the weekend.

I'm keen to try some Por Larranaga too, but was advise to get the SLB Petit Corona which is reputed to be more sought after representative of the brand's characteristic. --Thomas
habanohal Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 » Were these just released? The panatella is a sweet machine made little, not alot of time cigar. 1 of maybe 5 MM that I like for around $50 a box

I can personally attest to the wonderful flavors in each of these cigars. The Por Larrañaga Montecarlo's that I have smoked were rich caramel, sort of burnt roasted coffee type tobacco flavors, mouth filling volumes of smoke. The Panetelas that I have 02's have also been a great smoke. Rob I look forward to you having these available! 1
seamus Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 I've only tried the PCs but I love em. Look forward to trying the rest of the line.

I find them to be pretty flavorful and a good size smoke when time is short, although they do seem to be a slow burning cigar. As the Prez mentioned, they're a great morning smoke.
pittesq Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 I'm definitely looking forward to these. Have yet to try a PL, but keep hearing great things about them
harwellplant Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 it is good to see the Por Larranaga marque getting more attention, and i hope with your post, rob, that we will see some offered by you. the plpc is a damn fine smoking experience, and a great compliment to my morning rotation choix supreme / trini reyes routine.
SuperT Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 I've only smoke 1 panetela but a cabs worth of the PCs. The PC is the king of the PL line for me, but I'm sure I'll try each and every one that becomes available to me.
greenpimp Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 I have not tried the Montecarlo. Looking forward to it; I love the panatellas and PCs I have.
Loki Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 Chuck, you're making my mouth water and my credit card cry.
