@Capn_Jackson boom! A ghost. Let's see if i survive 3 inches.

Starts with hot molé, roasted cocoa, pepitas, lard. Weird but great. The floor drops out and it's a lot of old strong ligero. Mellow enough to retro into rich nearly sweet earth and pleasantly sour lemon. Wild. The amp kicks in and it's too much to handle. I do not survive. Finally comes back down into coffee and cocoa but we are at the end.

I'm unsure why summer marketing brings such heavy cigars, but here we are. If you like big flavors, this series may be of interest.

84? If you need your taste buds sorted out this will do it. I feel I'm beating a good cigar up that I just don’t care for. Watch Jackson come through with a 91.

Dark, slightly rough wrapper on the Mi Querida Firecracker, with a little fuse coming off the cap that was kinda neat. Little presentation things like this and pigtails usually don’t do much for me, but this had some character.

Right off the bat, lots of nuts, roasted coffee, and pepper.  Not spicy pepper. More earthy than sharp, and not offensive at all. Little bit of leather underneath. Full in flavor without ever getting aggressive. Black tea. Excellent construction. Good burn, nothing wrong with the stick, but it’s just not hitting me right.

Into the second half, the smoke got creamier and smoothed out some edges, but the profile stayed mostly the same. This is where I realized it just wasn’t landing right for me. On paper, this should be right in my wheelhouse, but I kept wanting a little sweetness or brightness, maybe some citrus, to balance the earth and coffee and never really got it. Took on a little roasted pecan at one point, but very dark, heavy.

Not a bad cigar in any way, just not one I’d reach for again. We try to teach our girls at the dinner table, if they try something they don’t like, to say “That’s not for me,” and that’s honestly how I feel about this one. Nothing wrong with it at all, it’s just not for me.

I do greatly appreciate @Çnote for sharing this unique smoke!

It was about an 80 for me. Same sentiment, though, felt like I was just not getting the vibe of something that others might dig a lot.

 I didn’t quite place molé at the time, but yes.
