Dadof3 Posted May 7 Posted May 7 There are a number of things that you notice in today's world of CCs. The Lonsdale is almost extinct as is the Corona. There are plenty of Petit Coronas of various stripes so I wonder if there is any real strain to make a Lonsdale instead of a Petit Corona. Is the extra few millimeters of wrapper leaf that difficult to prepare? Beyond that the ring gauge is roughly the same at 42 or so. And there are various forms of robusto now from under four inches to some over 5 inches and running from maybe 47 to 55 in ring gauge now. But you don't have much left in terms of multiple versions of things within a line. No Punch Black Prince or other corona gordas to go along side the Punch Punch anymore. And it seems that anything sort of special from the old regular lines have been repurposed as limited or regional editions in some way. They just popped out a new SLR Serie A for example and I'm guessing the only thing different is the exclusivity and hence the price. I'd be curious what percentage of CCs are now either Cohiba or Trinidad or RE or EL lines? I bet it's higher than we expect. 4
