Popular Post Çnote Posted March 11 Popular Post Posted March 11 @Capn_Jackson i gave you one of these right? Jackson is a big Curivari fan, so I've been picking them up as I see them. Soft suede to start, a wonderful change of pace. Unfortunately a little monolithic down the fairway, but a wonderful honeycomb brittle, hazelnut-honey character is right underneath. Very nuanced if linear, perhaps you could call this Cubanesque even. Getting to the nub it falls apart into bitter coffee, but it was good getting here. Much better than I thought (with high expectations), if there was a corona in this blend I'd be shopping. Solid 90, I might even buy some, 109s are always good to have around. Jackson any thoughts? 5
Capn_Jackson Posted March 12 Posted March 12 Looking forward to trying another Curivari I haven’t had before. Off the foot there’s a nutty aroma, and the cold draw is dark maple and wood. Light-up is coconut crème, milky texture. Nice start. Getting lots of marzipan throughout the first third, and a touch of cowhide. A little chocolate, some baking spice. There is a bit of a dumb spot right before the second third. Second third hits, and takes over with agave and syrupy texture. Some cashew butter over sourdough toast. Nice richness here, and more cedar as I go past the midpoint. Last act chimes in with more baking spice and very dark cocoa, almost to the point of bitterness. Earth, even more cedar. Coffeeeeeeeee. Still in the same vein as it was up to this point, everything is just darker. Strength kicks up a few notches. Ends on a pleasant nutty, earthy note. Really enjoyed this, 90 from me! 4
