alloy Posted March 9 Posted March 9 Going to Boston for five days. I read that it is a very unfriendly town for cigar smokers. Any good places (B&M's) to have a cigar? Also heard that the prices are really high due to taxes.
sbsbsb1 Posted March 9 Posted March 9 Couldn't find a decent lounge when I was there a couple times in 2024. But check out Trillium Brewing for great food and beer. 1
GP012 Posted March 9 Posted March 9 I'm in NH now and not in Boston as often as I used to be, but Stanza dei Sigari I believe is the only lounge left in the city. There are a few more west (Watertown/Waltham IIRC) and then a couple in Worcester (~50 minutes west) as well. 1
ryre Posted March 9 Posted March 9 Stanza dei Sigari in the North End is nice. Then head to Mike's Pastry for a lobster tail. 3
AndrewN23 Posted March 10 Posted March 10 40 min from Boston Rhinos cigar lounge in Windham, New Hampshire amazing drinks, vibe, and cigars and prices are super reasonable for both cigars and cocktails. 1
BrightonCorgi Posted March 10 Posted March 10 Stanza is a must visit if you're a cigar smoking tourist in town. North End is a special place in the US. The North End could be the whole afternoon and evening. Have an early meal, go to Stanza for a few hours, and then a dessert and drinks after. Maybe head back to Stanza for a 2nd round. As for cigar shops, there are 2 very important one's worth visiting. Two of the oldest in all North America. L.J. Peretti Co. — Downtown Boston Leavitt & Peirce — Cambridge (Harvard Square). 1
