I keep seeing the Label "The Vault" lately. Does anyone know what it means?

Intertabak (HSA's distributor for Switzerland) recently released it. It's CCs that have been stocked for 5 years by themselves 👍

It's like the Hunters & Frankau House Reserve Aged concept https://www.cigarjournal.com/the-vault-intertabaks-aged-vintage-concept/ from the Swiss distributor. I guess about as trusted an aged source as you can get. For those as discussed in the other thread who can afford or have to buy aged stock!

Thank you

I bought a box of Bolivar Royal Coronas from the Vault in Switzerland (Box date 03/19). I have not tasted them, but the cigars themselves look very nice (smooth wrappers). They individually inspect them and put a foot band on every one.

The price was circa 120 CHF more than a standard box of Royal Coronas. It was an experiment of mine, because I usually don't like Bolivar that much and don't have any aged boxes. I figured I will let them age another few years and will try them then.

Having said that, if you have the time, buying standard, new stuff and aging it yourself is preferable.

A simple move by distributors to partake and capitalise on secondary market price developments. It's happened before.

Totally agree; spending time aging cigars is a very interesting thing.
