This song, 财神到 = Money god has arrived.

This song is played everywhere all the time in the South (especially love money down here) for weeks.

Every year China comes up with clever 4 character idioms to represent the new year. Always related to the animal of the new year. Usually related to getting more money. Always play on words.

马上 = mashang = immediately.

马 = horse

上 = up

So get up on the horse = immediately.

Some of the most common ones so far are:

马上有财 = immediately have money

马上成功 = immediately successful

My personal favourite...

马上牛逼

niu bi = cow p***y

niu bi can be explained here perfectly by Tarantino:

Immediately super cool.

But when you take the characters one by one.... it means more literally...

Not sure if that's going to need to be edited out.. lol. But its making the rounds in every group chat across the country.

Our company holiday reminder. Basically the entire country takes off 2 whole weeks. The largest migration of people in the world.. and as the population has more money, its getting bigger by the year.

Always a fun time in China this time of year. Fireworks and firecrackers all day everyday for a week straight. Enough baijiu to drown a villlage. Food until you're stuffed and can't walk.
