CRC: '98 Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No.2

'98 Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No.2. This is a Robusto vitola. It comes in at a 50 ring gauge and is 4 7/8” in length. 

The wrapper is super dark and oily. A quick snap from my Palio and we are ready. The draw is good. Nice airflow with no resistance.

Initial flavors are earth, woody notes, cinnamon, and espresso. Well it’s time to light this baby. 

1st third, I am hit with star anise & cocoa and cinnamon. 

2nd third, star anise & cocoa are still there but I am getting roasted nuts now.  
 

3rd third, the flavors are turning into espresso and mocha. 

A solid cigar.
