Popular Post Havanaaddict Posted 9 hours ago Popular Post Posted 9 hours ago Todays review will be 98' Saint Luis Rey Lonsdales (50 Cab) It has been many years since I have had one these cigars, I remember the last time I smoked one it was really good. But I was not prepared for how much this cigar has changed, the depth, body, flavor almost overwhelming! Just the look of these cigars sitting in a beautiful large wooden 50 cabinet is the first thing the hits you and lets you know that you are going to be in for a treat. I reach in and pull one out, it is light in my hand and the wrapper has a silky feel to it. I bring it to my nose and the smell is intoxicating pure honey. I clip it and the draw is perfect and the pre-light taste is of sweet honey and fruit. I start the toasting process and then take the first puff, I know this not the same cigar I had smoked many years ago. The 1st third is like wild berries becoming richer with each puff! The 2nd third I am getting Chocolate Orange and sweet dark chocolate building in intensity. The last 3rd the flavors and getting so much richer bring in molasses, the smoke has almost become chewy and heavy. It is almost overwhelming, overpowering, intense but in a good way. This has become a very special cigar, smoking this cigar is an indulgent flavor journey where time stands still! It has been a true pleasure to have seen these cigar age into what can only be described as euphoric! Heavenly 15
