JohnS Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Aganorsa Leaf Supreme Leaf Gets 109-Style Toro Dec 15, 2025 - By Thomas Pappalardo Photos/Aganorsa Leaf Nicaraguan cigar company and tobacco grower Aganorsa Leaf is releasing its limited-edition Supreme Leaf blend in a new, tapered format called Toro 109. Measuring 6 inches by 52 ring gauge, the new cigar is named for its blunted, 109-style belicoso head. It’s expected to ship to retailers in February. “The Toro 109 allows the Supreme Leaf blend to shine in a fresh way,” said Terence Reilly, Aganorsa’s vice president of sales and marketing. “The tapered ‘109- style’ head concentrates the flavors at the start while the 52 ring gauge provides a rich, dense smoke that Supreme Leaf fans will instantly recognize.” Made in Nicaragua at the Aganorsa Leaf factory, Supreme Leaf consists entirely of tobaccos grown on Aganorsa’s farms in Nicaragua, including the Corojo ’99 wrapper. Unlike most of Supreme Leaf releases, which are box-pressed, the Toro 109 is round but retains the uncut foot. The curiously conical 109 format originated with the Cuban Partagás brand and is more tapered than a typical cigar head but not quite as pointed as a belicoso. It goes by a host of names: No. 109, campana (which translates to “bell”) or cabeza tumbada—Spanish for “drop head” because it resembles a drop. Shipping in 10-count boxes, the Aganorsa Leaf Supreme Leaf Toro 109 has a suggested retail price of $13.99 each. Only 2,000 boxes are being produced. JohnS Posted 11 hours ago Author Posted 11 hours ago Supreme Leaf Toro 109 Slated for February 2026 December 15, 2025 - Charlie Minato The Supreme Leaf line has been offered in a 6 x 50 toro, a 6 x 52 toro, a 6 x 54 toro and a 6 x 56 toro. So you’d be remiss if you don’t understand how AGANORSA Leaf can introduce another new Supreme Leaf in a toro size. In February, the company plans to ship the Supreme Leaf Toro 109, which measures 6 x 52. As the name implies, it uses a 109-style cap, which is a hybrid cap that combines the rounded finish of a parejo and a pointed tip like a belicoso. Blend-wise, the Supreme Leaf uses entirely Nicaraguan tobaccos, described as corojo 99 dominant. The line is made at the company’s factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. Each cigar will have an MSRP of $13.99 per cigar and it comes in boxes of 10. The Supreme Leaf line is a limited production line. Historically, AGANORSA Leaf will create a new vitola, offer it for sale in a limited quantity. Once that vitola is sold out, retailers and consumers have to wait for a new vitola to be announced and go on sale. “The Toro 109 allows the Supreme Leaf blend to shine in a fresh way,” said Terence Reilly, vp of sales and marketing for AGANORSA Leaf, in a press release. “The tapered ‘109- style’ head concentrates the flavors at the start while the 52-ring gauge provides a rich, dense smoke that Supreme Leaf fans will instantly recognize. We think this vitola captures the essence of Aganorsa’s signature flavor profile while offering something new and exciting in a classic Cuban Size.” Note: The following shows the various Supreme Leaf vitolas.
