Cigar Oasis Plus 4.0 Debuts

That’s how the Cigar Oasis website describes the arrival of the new Cigar Oasis Plus 4.0, its newest electronic humidifier that wasn’t expected until next year. However, the company has started selling the Cigar Oasis Plus 4.0 ($199).

The Cigar Oasis Plus is the company’s mid-range option, marketed for large desktop humidors or small cabinet humidors. It’s an electronic humidifier that must be plugged into a wall outlet and uses a two-piece design: the bottom is a cartridge where the water is refilled, the top houses the fan, control unit and the rest of the operations. Once plugged in, users set the humidity to their desired number and the humidifier turns on its fan to draw moisture from the reservoir and provide humidity. The sensors detect when the humidity has reached the set level, which will turn off the fan until it is needed to provide more humidity.

From the outside, the Oasis Plus 4.0 looks very similar to the outgoing Oasis Plus 3.0 model. They are the same size—6 inches x 2 x 3.5—and have the same layout with a large screen and three soft-touch buttons. The Cigar Oasis Excel and Plus models are nearly identical and also the same size, but the Plus has a more powerful fan that requires large openings.

Changes for the new 4.0 model include:

• A new color — It’s less brown than before.
• New sensors and chips — All of the 4.0 models are getting the new chipset.
• An improved fan — For better air circulation.
• New “Rapid Response Technology” — Cigar Oasis says that the unit has smarter connections with the Cigar Oasis app, which is available for iOS and Android, that allows for instant readings of large temperature or humidity swings, but less frequent updates if there are no changes in your humidor. The humidifier connects via wifi, which allows the user to see and set the temperature and humidity readings remotely via the smartphone app. Cigar Oasis charges $3.99 per month or $19.99 per year for these features. The unit will still work without the app, but you lose the remote connectivity.
• It is made in the Philippines, whereas the 3.0 model was made in China.

Currently, the Cigar Oasis Plus 4.0 is currently only offered via its online store but wholesale orders will begin next month. So far, only the Ultra and Plus have gotten the 4.0 update, though the company previously told halfwheel it expected more 4.0 models in 2026.
