JohnS Posted November 27, 2025 Posted November 27, 2025 Tatuaje Releasing New (And Relatively Inexpensive) Cigar Sextooth named after collaboration with friend of founder Pete Johnson Nov 26, 2025 - By David Savona Photos/Tatuaje The pricey cigar trend shows no signs of slowing down, but Tatuaje brand owner Pete Johnson’s newest creation is a relative bargain. The new Sextooth cigar comes in four sizes, none of them long and none of them priced higher than $8.50. The smallest priced at a mere $5.50. Johnson said the first shipment is coming to Miami this week, with the new cigars going out to retailers the first week of December. Sextooth is the stage name for musician, poet, actor and producer Andreas Contogouris, who is a longtime friend of Johnson. The vitolas in the line are named (and inspired by) songs from his 2025 EP Smoking Mirror. The Fast and Slow is the smallest and least expensive smoke in the line, 4 1/2 inches long by 40 ring. It has a suggested retail price of $5.50 and comes in boxes of 36. The other three sizes are packed in boxes of 24: Holiday is 4 1/2 by 50 ($7.50); William Blake is 4 1/2 by 60 ($8.25) and Vampire is a plump belicoso measuring 5 by 58 ($8.50). “The little ones are kickers,” Johnson told Cigar Aficionado. He described the strength of the line as “medium, but with a nice spice.” The long-filler cigars are made from a Nicaragua-heavy blend of tobaccos. The filler and binder leaves are Nicaraguan, and the wrapper is Ecuador Habano. Like all Tatuajes, they are made by My Father Cigars, this particular brand from the Nicaraguan factory. Tatuaje commented on the low prices. “As the industry has seen many price increases over the last several years, the team at Tatuaje thought it was time for another price-conscious addition to the Tatuaje family.” Source: https://www.cigaraficionado.com/article/tatuaje-releasing-new-and-relatively-inexpensive-cigar 3 1
JohnS Posted November 27, 2025 Author Posted November 27, 2025 Tatuaje Shipping Sextooth Next Week November 25, 2025 - Patrick Lagreid At the 2025 PCA Convention & Trade Show, Tatuaje was teasing a new project called Sextooth, described as a possible upcoming release but one that wasn’t being talked about as a confirmed new project. Now, the Sextooth project is ready to head to stores as a new regular production, price-conscious addition to the Tatuaje family. Sextooth is the name under which Andreas Contogouris—a Los Angeles-based musician, poet and actor—performs. He has also been a longtime friend of Pete Johnson, owner of Tatuaje. The blend features an Ecuadorian habano wrapper with Nicaraguan binders and fillers, and is offered in four sizes: Sextooth Fast and Slow (4 1/2 x 40) — $5.50 (Box of 36, $198) Sextooth Holiday (4 1/2 x 50) — $7.50 (Box of 24, $180) Sextooth William Blake (4 1/2 x 60) — $8.25 (Box of 24, $198) Sextooth Vampire (5 x 58) — $8.50 (Box of 24, $204) The cigars are made at My Father Cigars S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua. Each cigar in the series is inspired by and named after one of his songs. “I’ve been writing songs and smoking cigars for a long time,” said Sextooth in a press release. “The project with Tatuaje feels like the best gig I’ve gotten a chance to play.” A representative said that the first shipment is arriving this week and will ship to retailers next week. Update (Nov. 26, 2025) — The original version of this post listed Andreas Contogouris as Andreas Stefi, which was incorrect. Images courtesy of Tatuaje.
