NYGuido Posted November 10 Posted November 10 I’ve been sober for 14+ years and have been looking for good pairings that aren’t coffee, soda, etc. Even wrote into LoungeLizards and was lucky enough to have @LizardGizmo read my letter. Well, Rooster was right! Having the French Bloom rosé with a Davidoff Maduro robusto, and it’s absolutely fantastic. Really hits the spot for someone like me who used to really enjoy champagne but can’t have it anymore. Strong recommend for any members who aren’t drinking right now. Looking forward to serving this at Thanksgiving and to trying their standard offering. 3
BrightonCorgi Posted November 10 Posted November 10 I like pure cranberry juice with carbonated water and touch of lavender syrup. Goes well with cigars and turkey. 2

Oh, I'll for sure try this, thanks! I like the Italian soda, Chinotto, which is a nice bitter orange, but it's nice sometimes to have something that theoretically is champagne but...well...isn't 1

Non alcoholic champagne just sounds like sacrilege to be honest and I'm surprised you've not been banned. 1

Probably teaspoon for 12 oz glass 1
Christophe Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I want to try it, but I just can't get myself to pay €30 (that's the cheapest one, I believe) for a non-alcoholic version of a sparkling wine which is gonna go down like lemonade (not in terms of flavor, but you know, in terms of ease of dinking). That's the sort of money I'll spend on an actual champagne a couple times per year. Maybe it's reasonable that the cost is equivalent to actual champagne due to e.g. the time or labor involved, but I have a mental aversion to the value-proposition here. My finger has hovered over the "add to basket"-button, but I can't get past that mental block.
