This series to explore whether a particular cigar is humidor worthy. Cost these days is an issue for many so let's see if we can highlight some absolute standouts. This should particularly assist those new to the cigar world.

To be fair, most of the cigars we have featured to date have scored exceptionally well. Surprisingly well!

Scoring is: 1-3 (Poor)   4-6 (Average to good)   7-10  (very good to excellent)  Use the Poll.

I sometimes feel that the Montecristo Edmundo is somewhat disrespected. You know the athlete on your sporting team who turns up every week and performs to a high level but somehow misses out on the accolades which are often fawned on the flash Harry (I'm talking you Behike ;)) or the next big thing ( e.g. H. Upmann Alcatraz

I am as guilty as any in downplaying how consistently good the Montecristo Edmundo is, and I don't think they have been any better than 2022/23 on.

Have your say!

Today: Montecristo Edmundo.  Let's kick off the discussion

Not my favorite of the Monte line. Had some bad ones. I'll pass.

Love 'em. Construction has always been great in my experience, and the blend seems consistent. Not my favorite Monte, but it has a spot in my rotation.

Cheers!

Same same. Overall a net positive experience!

They’re ok, but even within a marca I smoke very frequently they have never been a cigar I reach for often. They’re my least favorite of the Edmundo’s. In fact I don’t think I’ve smoked one in years. No disrespect meant, however!

They are also a tough sell with the Wide Edmundo out now. I detest Montesco-sized cigars but the initial runs of the WE have essentially obviated the Edmundo for me. Shame I’m almost out and refuse to buy more after recent news, so I’ll be back to Edmundo before long!
