El Presidente Posted October 21, 2025 Posted October 21, 2025 Nicaragua Threatened With Tariffs Of Up To 100 Percent Warning from United States takes aim at the world’s largest producer of handmade cigars and could lead to far higher prices for consumers Oct 21, 2025 | By David Savona CONTINUED 2
MrBirdman Posted October 21, 2025 Posted October 21, 2025 Seriously, let’s hope not. As usual it’s completely unclear what the administration actually wants here, short of resignation by the Nicaraguan president. 2
Hoosh Posted October 21, 2025 Posted October 21, 2025 Jerk Off by Tool immediately comes to mind here. 2

smashed Posted October 22, 2025 Posted October 22, 2025 Even run of the mill new world cigars going to be $25/stick by 2027/2028. I could see cigar smoking (not just CC) strictly becoming a 'luxury' splurge hobby. If it's not tariffs, it's going to be taxed into oblivion as a lot of places are already doing/considering. Curious to see the landscape in the next decade, I personally think it will be entirely different. I'm not aware of any government who really 'wants' tobacco imports and is considering relief for tobacco taxes, only talk of them going higher.
BG318 Posted October 22, 2025 Posted October 22, 2025 I have enough cigars, at my current rate of consumption, to reach 81.5 years of age before I run out. I still need to tread on the hamster wheel for around 40 more boxes. Crap. 1 2

Gonna keep Boveda in business for YEARS! 🤣 1
Dmex Posted October 22, 2025 Posted October 22, 2025 Can we get some good new for a Change? Jeezus...
