Popular Post Çnote Posted September 25, 2025 Popular Post Posted September 25, 2025 @Capn_Jackson doesn't know i smoked this yet. He's probably still a cigar back, but my commitment to Project Lancero cannot be measured. It's rough in the cigar business. I'd love to see a local to me shop carry Casdagli, but it's not happening soon. Distribution politics put some on disco in a small market and here we are. For whatever reason, I smoked this on a sports bar patio with a mantis. Immediate blast of sweet almonds, fading into biscotti and marshmallow. Very classic, all I can think for a while is CoLa. It's not quite there. It's non Cuban. CoLa is big shoes. But that's what it's swinging at. Getting to the band, this isn't CoLa. It's still pretty fantastic tho. The last third is more gingerbread spice & Dominican for sure. Great cigar, but a letdown after a rocketship start. Lancero love? Perhaps. 88 but I remember liking C#4 and A of this band alot more, too bad they weren't on closeout. I'm honestly not sure they're even shipping these out in 2025. Im afraid to add to my looking for list these days... 8 1
Popular Post Capn_Jackson Posted October 3, 2025 Popular Post Posted October 3, 2025 Casdagli Basilica C#2, a complete unknown smoke to me. Cold draw has an interesting nutty coffee with coconut crème. Light-up has excellent notes of caramel and hazelnuts, with some cream on the finish. Intoxicating baking spices. Intoxi-baking! Coffee cake with donut glaze. I’m reminded a lot of Trinidad DNA, but with just a touch of pepper. I’m getting touches of Corojo flavor, though I don’t really know what’s in this blend. Didn’t want to look it up, as this one’s a complete unknown to me. 2nd third has a very oatmeal stout vibe, more coffee than cream on that finish. I’m getting some citrus vibes here and there in this phase as well. Those are the only fruity notes to speak of, and I wish there was something close to cherry. Would round this out very nicely. Around the midpoint, delicious chocolate biscotti going on, and more hazelnuts. The finish that was at first very creamy has become more dry, though, parching. Strength has stayed around medium this whole time. Maybe a few notches above now, but nowhere near steaming. Excellent construction, and no re-lights needed. The last act has me thinking of Guinness, lots of stout flavor, and heavy almost-burnt vanilla fudge. Excellent stuff!! At the nub, flavors are big and bold, oak smoke and coffee with still a hint of vanilla. Never gets too hot, never bitter. I miss the sweetness from the first half or so, as this one ends with all earthy vibes. Unique stick. Thanks for another memorable smoke, @Çnote 5 1

It's really looking like we smoked the same cigar, didn't 100% enjoy it, but yet still hooked on getting more of something similar to scratch the itch. 🤔 😬 😅 😉
