Popular Post Çnote Posted September 14 Popular Post Posted September 14 @Capn_Jackson and @Tobaccofanatiko made 3 for this one. Blast of red pepper to start. Big cherry, spices. Rich and very full all the way to the end. At the 2nd bend, the flavor becomes more plum pudding. Lots of anise and clove in the end. Fantastic but big and full all the way. Not exactly in my wheelhouse, but wasn't expecting to love a Fausto blend. It's definitely not my favorite Tat blend. 5
Hoosh Posted September 14 Posted September 14 Thanks for the review! I personally find this cigar (generically, the Fausto line) to be more powerful than the vaunted LFD Double Ligero by a wide margin.
Capn_Jackson Posted September 16 Posted September 16 @Çnote hands it to me and says, “Smoke this.” Good things are always ahead when that happens. The Fausto Culebra starts with some great dark cherry sweetness, and extremely bright coffee. Deep roast, pour-over. Hazelnut cream. A little nutmeg on the edges as well. 2nd third, more earth. Some dark baking spices. Rye or pumpernickel with lashes of Nutella. Maybe some crushed almonds, going on. Peanut shell. Cocoa powder sprinkled on top. Last third becomes very rich umami and spice. Some cardamom. Morphs into walnut ice cream at the end…Yes, that’s a thing. Find some walnut ice cream and go get it. Delicious. Marble Slab used to have it, don’t know if they still do. A pretty ballsy smoke, more so than my usual, but I really loved the cherry in the opening. Thanks Cody! 2
