JohnS Posted September 7 Posted September 7 It wasn't that long ago that Padron and Arturo Fuente collaborated to release the Legends Humidor. That release came with a hefty price tag (over $US178 per cigar). It seems that two other big name Non-Cuban manufacturers in My Father and Tatuaje have now being inspired to bring out their own collaboration. Only this time, each cigar will average $US120 a stick! My Father & Tatuaje’s La Union Red Humidor Shipping in Late September September 4, 2025 - Patrick Lagreid After showing it off at the 2023 PCA Convention & Trade Show, it appears that the time has come for My Father Cigars and Tatuaje to release the La Union Red Humidor. This is the second of a two-part release that is a collaboration between the two companies. While My Father produces all of Tatuaje cigars, for this project, Pete Johnson of Tatuaje blended two cigars for My Father, while the García family blended two cigars for Tatuaje. The first two cigars were released in February 2024, the companies shipped the La Union Black Humidor. While the Black Humidor and Red Humidor share many of the same details, the cigars inside are different. For the Red Humidor, Tatuaje’s cigar, which has a covered foot, uses an Ecuadorian Sumatra-seed wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and filler, while the My Father blend uses a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper of undisclosed origin over a Nicaraguan binder and filler. Both cigars come in a 7 1/4 x 50 vitola that uses a 109-style head, with the vitola being referred to as a Prominente Especial. The Johnson-blended cigar carries a secondary band that says “For My Father’, while the García-blended cigar has a band that says “Para Tatuaje”. Production is limited to 1,500 boxes, which are described as humidors, with 300 of those boxes designated for non-U.S. markets. Each box contains 20 of each cigar as well as a XIKAR Perfect Xi1 cutter. The cigars were created by two pairs of rollers and bunchers, who were limited to creating 250 cigars per day. Pricing is set at $2,400 per humidor. For the La Union Black Humidor release, which was released in February 2024 and is pictured above, Tatuaje created a Nicaraguan puro with a corojo 99 wrapper, while My Father created a cigar with an Ecuadorian habano wrapper atop a Nicaraguan binder and filler.
