If I could keep just one of the accessories I’ve reviewed for halfwheel, the choice would be very easy. It would be a travel humidor. More specifically, a travel humidor made by a luggage company that has an aluminium exterior and a Spanish cedar interior. And while I cherish that travel humidor, there’s little reason to keep writing about it because it’s long since discontinued and you are unlikely to find one for sale on the secondary market. Believe me, I get the emails multiple times per year from people asking for help.

But today, maybe I can be of help.

Last fall, I was served an Instagram ad from a luggage company that was promoting its own travel humidor that is made out of aluminium and uses a cedar interior. Only, it’s not the same luggage company and not the same travel humidor. The ad came from TUMI, a higher-end brand within the Samsonite portfolio. Technically, it’s not referred to as a travel humidor; rather, it’s a “cigar case.”

You'd have to concur with Charlie here. These cases do represent somewhat of a financial commitment.

I use a hard shell $20 herf-a-dor. It works great and gives me 10 cigar capacity. I could never spend $550 for 5 cigar capacity, but that Rimowa on the other hand is sexy, and would consider that "financial commitment" if it was made available again.

Beautiful construction and elegant given the embossing. The biggest size it carries by length is a Churchill. The slots for the lighter and cutter keep opening. The humipack holder is small.

Advice (much better options at a much lower price).
