The festival kicks off on Jan. 18 as attendees arrive in Managua, and then continues in the colonial city of Granada on Jan. 19 and 20 for cultural experiences, including lunch by Lake Cocibolca at the port of Asese, followed by a boat tour of its islets. The day will end with a welcome dinner at Hotel Darío. Day two in Managua will see attendees exploring the cultural richness of Granada through three tour options. One will visit La Pólvora Fortress and San Francisco Convent, another will focus on churches and see the city’s Cathedral, La Merced, Xalteva, and Guadalupe, while the third will visit a chocolate museum and factory. Attendees will enjoy lunch in a former train station that has been turned into a museum, while dinner will once again be held at Hotel Darío. On Jan. 21, attendees will head to Estelí for a series of visits to tobacco farms, cigar factories, box factories and other facilities involved in the premium cigar industry during the day, with a series of festive dinners in the evenings. The festival concludes on Friday, Jan. 23 with more visits to farms and factories, with the festival wrapping up with a gala dinner and celebration that recognizes the country’s cigar industry. Attendees will then depart throughout the day on Saturday, Jan. 24. The final cost to attend the festival has not yet been confirmed, but the Cámara Nicaragüense de Tabacaleros (Nicaragua Tobacco Chamber), the organization made up of more than 25 cigar manufacturers in the country that puts on the festival, previously said that the total cost of the festival will be no more than $2,600 USD per person. That amount does not include airfare to and from Nicaragua. Click here to see halfwheel’s coverage of the 2025 Puro Sabor Festival.
