Popular Post Tobaccofanatiko Posted May 23, 2025 Popular Post Posted May 23, 2025 Whiskey has been poured, "LS&TSB" has been qued up, and this, (past) Sunday's-a-smoking-day, selection has been lit! Deep ginger and rye toast hit the palate almost immediately. I take a few sips of Hibiki (Harmony) that I have decided to kill after sitting on my shelf for the past 3 years; the toffee and floral apricot cut right thru the spiced bread. I wait a few minutes as I really want to keep this smoke nice and cool. Next few puffs are all bakery fresh pumpernickel loaf, a fantastic surprise...can't think I have ever tasted this before on any cigar before. The aftertaste has become like a nice absinthe with anise on the nose. Unfortunately, halfway through, the tasty pumpernickel has been lost so I have decided to let it go out and cool for a beat before a gentle relight as I may have got 'er too hot. Good call to let it cool off for the semi sweet molasses of pumpernickel has returned! I'll be extra careful to smoke this last third nice and slow. Burnt cinnamon raisin toast has replaced the pumpernickel going into the last inch and I smoked 'er down til my fingers became a fire hazard. Solid smoke. 5 1
