JohnS Posted May 10 Posted May 10 Davidoff Closing Two Stores in September: Brookfield Place & Houston May 6, 2025 - Charlie Minato Davidoff has announced that it will close two of its U.S. stores: the River Oaks location in Houston and Brookfield Place in New York City. The company says that it is opting to not renew either lease, both stores will keep regular business hours until September. The Houston store is located at 4444 Westheimer Road, while the Brookfield Place location is at 25 Liberty Street in Lower Manhattan. “Both our River Oaks and Brookfield Place stores have been a treasured location for our valued clients,” says Lana Fraser, head of marketing and retail for Davidoff of Geneva USA, in a press release. “While we have made a difficult decision to close these two locations, we remain dedicated to serving our customers at our 6th Avenue, NYC location, and our newly renovated Madison Avenue, NYC store which will reopen in Summer this year. We also welcome our customers to shop with us online at DavidoffGeneva.com. We sincerely appreciate the dedication and contributions of the River Oaks and Brookfield teams and extend our heartfelt gratitude to our patrons for their loyalty and support.” The closures will shrink the number of company-owned U.S. stores from four to two: the aforementioned locations in New York City. In addition, there are Davidoff of Geneva — since 1911 flagship stores in Brooklyn, Las Vegas and Hollywood, Fla.—but each of those stores is a franchise store. Davidoff opened the two stores around a decade ago when the company was in a period of major investment, including expanding its American stores. At one point, there were nine Davidoff of Geneva — since 1911 stores in America, but the last five years have seen that number continue to shrink. In 2021, the company-owned flagship store in Atlanta was closed; in 2022, the Borysiewicz family rebranded the Davidoff flagship store it operated in Tampa to a Corona Cigar Co. location. Globally, the company has more than 60 Davidoff of Geneva — since 1911 flagship stores. Source: https://halfwheel.com/davidoff-closing-two-stores-in-september-brookfield-place-houston/451548/
