Going to listen to this on the commute tomorrow. This brings up exactly what I was after - pronunciation. I'm sure the Yanks have butchered it. Is it 'scon' or 'scown'?

The pronunciation isn't the worst part. Clotted cream or jam wasn't even mentioned, just butter and marmalade.

Scone chat was fun. I'm happy to hear the overall experience was a positive one albeit with some construction concerns. Those wrappers are darker than what I normally chase with Hoyos, but they were certainly tasty.

Party foul on Senator for not attending. It sounds like he needs an accountability hour for talking trash about Hoyo and then not showing up. I suggest a forfeit of his Partagas Corona.
(I'm sure he had a valid reason for missing it)

I’ve found San Juans to be inconsistent. You found San Juans to be inconsistent. I am curious what you’d think of a standard, run of the mill current production San Juan vs. early release. I’ve got a running theory that when new marcas are released they get preferential treatment in terms of quality or access to leaf, but part of that may be recency bias with how good I’ve found Epi 3’s to be.  

The 2 hrs spent with you boys is a highlight of my week. Thanks for making drive time a little more bearable.
