David8406 Posted April 20 Posted April 20 I find myself wanting another box of pyramids or belicosos. I’m good on Upmann #2’s. I’ve always liked the BBF but my experience there is from the late 90’s and early 2000’s. Assuming most of what I can buy will be from 2024, who has the hot hand these days? I’m leaning towards a Romeo. 1
Shakey Posted April 20 Posted April 20 I have DIC 23 boxes of BBF and Romeo Belicosos. Between the two I’d go with the BBFs, and it pains me to write that because I’m a huge Romeo fan but the BBFs have more flavor and more consistent construction. If you are looking at piramides, 23/24 Monte 2s are quite good. 1
TacoSauce Posted April 20 Posted April 20 Just remember that by the time you've clipped enough of the cap on a Piramides or Belicosos to open up the draw, you've basically cut it down to a parejo. So save some $$, and directly buy parejos.
Habanoschris Posted April 20 Posted April 20 For what it's worth I have a youngish box of the R&J - 2 years old. They are subtle but pleasant now, not bad at all, and they feel like they will age well if I had to guess, so I'm smoking them sparingly. I had one last weekend, though. I don't regret it so far. 2
Ford2112 Posted April 20 Posted April 20 I had the last 3 of 4 BBF unravel on me, ultra thin wrappers, and a bit underfilled. I would say Diplo 2. They have been most consistent for me.
MagicalBikeRide Posted April 20 Posted April 20 I’ve gone through lots of fresh sticks from boxes of both Dip2 and P2 - each with 2024 box codes. They’ve been great. 2
Tunkat92 Posted April 20 Posted April 20 Out of 23/24 stock, Dip 2s, Monte 2s and P2s have all been great. The 2023 Dip 2 I had recently was the best of the bunch though. 3
