Spada Gorda - 2024 (FRCA25)

Happy to be getting some longer and warmer days allowing some larger format cigars to begin making an appearance. This example is from a bundle purchased sometime in early/mid 2024 so they have had some down time.

Draw on the cigar is perfect and feels well rolled. Pretty much what I have come to expect with these. 

Opens up with a toasted tobacco note paired with some chocolate. Body is light/medium with good smoke output. 

Halfway and the cigar chugs along with the same consistent profile. This example seems to be offering darker notes than I am used to with this blend. It feels heavier on the chocolate and pepper. 

Finished up the third without much transition. The profile did turn a bit sour at the end which made me pitch it a bit earlier than normal. 

This wasn't the best showing out of the bundle. I was missing some of the bready baking notes I sometimes get from these. The body was decidedly darker reminding me more of a typical  Nicaraguan cigar - think Padron.
