Popular Post djrey Posted February 24 Popular Post Posted February 24 Can't get over how excited I am to get to start smoking cigars again. It's been a wildly cold winter here in the NE US. Getting back in the sun with some cigars has been very welcomed. Today is an old staple. The Partagas Short. The cold draw has the perfect amount of resistance and sweet yet twangy tobacco notes coat the palate. The cigar starts with a nice medium body showcasing a combination of black pepper and baking spice - cinnamon and clove. There is a touch of sweet bread notes there but that is mostly overwhelmed by the deeper spice notes. With some age these are a joy to retrohale. Flavors stay the same with a slight pick up in body. The smoke is creamy and full. A great smoking experience for an early spring cigar. 10 1
