Popular Post eaglebear29 Posted February 8 Popular Post Posted February 8 I got this in a pack a few days ago so no idea the age. The 3rd Petit Robusto reviewed this week. Initial light up: Chocolate creamy smoke with toasted tobacco and hints of like a faint chocolate covered strawberry. Little cedar here. End of First Third: Wow, I’ve never got such a pronounced chocolate covered strawberry/raspberry note. Cedar pops in and out. If only I could get more of that fruit. Medium in strength. End of second Third: Cedar being the main tone with hints of chocolate and toasted tobacco. Had to knock off the ash and relight. There’s little mini teeth on the wrapper. Ammonia tried to creep in but left on the relight. Medium+ in strength. End of Final Third: Mainly a cedar stick at the end. It dropped off and wasn’t the best here. Pretty disappointing. Medium+ in strength and creamy smoke texture. Nub/Pipe-worthy: No on both, was hard to pick up the little bit of ammonia under the cedar but it was there and couldn’t nub it at the end. The last puff was the ender, just full of ammonia. Final Thoughts: Was not a crescendo cigar, was quite the opposite of that. Disappointed because I felt it had so much promising notes at the beginning; and only continued to lose flavor notes. I'm not one to care much for a little relight, but this one was plagued with issues. Spent too much time nursing this stick at the end. This would score 86-87 if I hadn’t got those beautiful first notes. This one needs more time. There is potential here, the rest are going for a long nap. The beautiful walk made up for it. Smoking Time: 1hr 9min on a zero wind, beautifully clear, cold and crisp Alaskan winter day. Final score: 88/100 5
riderpride Posted February 8 Posted February 8 Serie D No 5? Well done sir. Left no doubt in my mind. Cheers! 1
MagicalBikeRide Posted February 11 Posted February 11 Nice review, thanks. I got a chocolate / berry note from the good R&J PC’s I’ve had (which is not a whole lot tbh). 1
