Popular Post Ford2112 Posted January 10 Popular Post Posted January 10 I bought a few stogies I had never tried from a local B&M recently. You win some and lose some doing that. This one lost. Cool looking cigar labels. Its a PC ish size, albeit a bit thinner rg. Aroma at cold is really sweet, like a sweet leather, clove and cinnamon. This seems promising! Draw is easy. I get clove and sweetness. It reminds me of the old pipe tobacco my grandpa used to smoke. These are evidently all certified organic blah blah blah. Upon lighting, there's a lot going on, mostly good but there is some note I definitely am not keen on. I'm certain they treated this tobacco somehow. It reminds me of Kentucky Fire Cured tobacco. But not enjoyable like a Toscano( I like the Classico). This feels intrusive. Long finish, as in go away. I smoked it, but other than its excellent construction and burn, I can't wait for it to end. Too bad because if the aroma at cold translated to flavor I was all in. Again this tobacco didn't taste natural to me. I hope to God the Alma Fuerte I bought isn't remotely like this. I give it 1 and a half stars. 7 1
MagicalBikeRide Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Sounds like a miserable experience…I’ve tried the same line in different vitola/s and it’s been ok. Not great but didn’t get the note you found.
Ford2112 Posted January 15 Author Posted January 15 @MagicalBikeRide the Alma Fuerte I smoked was completely the opposite of this stick. It was really, really good. 2

I tried to like the original due to its price, but it was too savory without any sweetness. I am hearing good things about their Cosecha 151 ( Hon.puro) and the price is way cheaper than their high end Nicaraguan lines. 1
