eggtimer Posted November 23, 2024 Posted November 23, 2024 Hi all, just curious if this fluctuation is too much. Thanks, Egg
JohnS Posted November 23, 2024 Posted November 23, 2024 @eggtimer, @Li Baiย has answered you precisely, as did @Tunkat92ย in this almost identical thread you started three months ago...
eggtimer Posted November 23, 2024 Author Posted November 23, 2024 Thanks very much for taking the time to reply. I really appreciate the spirit of your support. Unfortunately, the questions are somewhat related, similar not the same and unfortunately no answer to the question. I still see positive correlation between the and temperature (rather than negative) and have no explanation. Now, I see very high Rh fluctuations despite the humidor being inside a fridge and sealed along the lid completely with like 6 boveda packs. Not sure if you are able to help?

Socrates Posted November 23, 2024 Posted November 23, 2024 I would not worry about a gradual 1% RH fluctuation every 2 hours at all. The way you have them storedย I doubt very much the cigars will feel that tiny change at all IMHO.
eggtimer Posted November 25, 2024 Author Posted November 25, 2024 Thanks all. I think having govee spoiled it a bit for me. For 25 years I had cigars in a simple humidor, from Germany, to Singapore, from Hong Kong to Melbourne and all was good. Now, I am stressed all the time about the cigars ๐ 1
free85 Posted January 2 Posted January 2 Probably one of the best things I learned over the few years I've been in this hobby is that with cigars it is long term trends over weeks and months (or even longer) that matter the most. If you have things running consistently, which you VERY much seem to, look at your app now and then, stress less, and enjoy your cigars more. A few degrees F or %1 or 2% rh swings over the course of an hour is a pretty stable environment. 1
