Smells and tastes of crème and tobacco on the cold draw.

Can’t taste ammonia but can smell a faint whiff.

I let these rest a couple weeks and am having it pre flight to Dutch Harbor, then off to catching halibut.

Initial light up. Sweet cedar, crème, toasted tobacco maybe a hint of cinnamon?

Wonky burn that is correcting itself

End of first third: the crème seemed to build deliciously, cedar has faded to a slight taste on the top of the tongue. Medium to light smoke output needs a puff to get it going for a second draw. I’m guessing cause it’s new and not fully acclimated. So far a medium/light  in strength.

Just now cracking a Zevia Creamy Rootbeer to pair w/ it. Burn is getting back off a little but I never care much since it’s not affecting the smoke.

End of second third. Picked up more wood w/hints of cedar, while the cream remains the main tone on the palate. Smoke output picked up to medium-medium full. It’s now up to medium in strength

End of final third: faint ammonia is barely there in between puffs. Smoking faster cause I have a flight and it’s I’m guessing around 65% H instead of 62% how I like it. This would usually be 1.5-2 hour smoke for me. It was a little over a hour. Great crème with a dark wood and light tobacco flavor.

Nub:

Faint ammonia has faded, nub worthy cigar

90/100

I can really see the potential in this cigar if aged a lot longer but since I’m off to Dutch, figured I’d give it a go.

Size is Robusto

Spot on the mark, bullseye!  It is indeed a Hoyo DM Epi 2.

Good guess, this was the first HdM Epi 2 I’ve ever had.
