Sounds like a much different profile than the savory backbone of the Nudies/MOFOH blends. Looking forward to trying one!

Nice review. I gave into temptation last night and smoked one which had only rested 3 days since their arrival. Construction was 10/10, draw  was right on the money for a completely packed cigar and burn was razor sharp. Total smoking time was 2 hours for me. Flavour wise I picked up similar notes to you, the first inch or so I got spice, hints of clove, salt and smooth pepper in the retro. Towards the end of the first third a new note kicked in which reminded me of plain popcorn which I also get from the Carlota. Somewhere in the middle, new notes of cherry, cherrywood and stewed stone fruit kicked in. At times there was another subtle note that would come and go which I simply can’t describe or have tasted before but it kept me contemplating and was pleasant. Overall an elegant, complex and thoroughly enjoyable smoke.

I tried one this past weekend. The only "sweet" note I got was on the initial first puff or two. It then settled into the typical savory profile that is the backbone of the nudie line. A tad bit more refined, although I was surprisingly underwhelmed at the lack of complexity and found the cigar to be pretty much one dimensional. I will try a second one this weekend to see if I experience a bit more out of this cigar. I try not to judge a book by it's cover, and hopefully there are better things to come.
