Popular Post Fireball Posted September 6, 2024 Popular Post Posted September 6, 2024 Just got these bad boys this week. Sent a few to some fellow amigos and sat down for my turn. The cold draw was a salted graham flavor. Looks well constructed and packed with slightly tight draw. There’s an interesting combination going on when smoking. First third is salty, in a where have you been all my life kind of way. Some other fruit notes, rich, like a plum sauce you might have on duck. There is a little zip to this- white pepper, but not overpowering in any way. It adds a layer of complexity that really brings it full circle. It’s a pretty abrupt change around 2nd third. The salt is lighter but pepper is gone. I keep taking draws just trying to pinpoint the flavor. Toasted tobbaco, salt, and a root beer that isn’t that sweet. That’s my final answer. Whatever it is, I am loving it. Rain clouds approach, but they will be no match for me and the 109. Around here I cut a little more off the head to let it roar. The last third some pepper and more salt build in. The flavor really fills in and expands Well. The threat rain didn’t stop me, but the school calling saying my kid missed the bus and needs picked up wins today. Everyone involved in the development and production of this cigar should be proud of themselves. I only wish I had been available for the launch in Miami. 94/100. Elegant. What a treat. 14 1
SCgarman Posted September 6, 2024 Posted September 6, 2024 Sounds like a much different profile than the savory backbone of the Nudies/MOFOH blends. Looking forward to trying one! 1
Gamehawker Posted September 7, 2024 Posted September 7, 2024 Very Nice Review and great pictures. My box is still resting. I will smoke one and give a review towards the end of the month. 1
ViscountDick Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 Nice review. I gave into temptation last night and smoked one which had only rested 3 days since their arrival. Construction was 10/10, draw was right on the money for a completely packed cigar and burn was razor sharp. Total smoking time was 2 hours for me. Flavour wise I picked up similar notes to you, the first inch or so I got spice, hints of clove, salt and smooth pepper in the retro. Towards the end of the first third a new note kicked in which reminded me of plain popcorn which I also get from the Carlota. Somewhere in the middle, new notes of cherry, cherrywood and stewed stone fruit kicked in. At times there was another subtle note that would come and go which I simply can’t describe or have tasted before but it kept me contemplating and was pleasant. Overall an elegant, complex and thoroughly enjoyable smoke. 4

Overall an elegant, complex and thoroughly enjoyable smoke. I tried one this past weekend. The only "sweet" note I got was on the initial first puff or two. It then settled into the typical savory profile that is the backbone of the nudie line. A tad bit more refined, although I was surprisingly underwhelmed at the lack of complexity and found the cigar to be pretty much one dimensional. I will try a second one this weekend to see if I experience a bit more out of this cigar. I try not to judge a book by it's cover, and hopefully there are better things to come. 1
