Herf stuff

I’m organising a herf dinner soon and was thinking about ways to provide a bit of structure and intrigue beyond just “bring whatever you want to smoke” or “today we’re all smoking XYZ”.

I’ve heard people do a secret Santa where you basically pass the cigar you brought (cunningly hidden in a bag) to someone else and everyone else does the same.

Or there’s the more complicated Blind Man’s Puff where everyone brings a cigar, gives it to the organiser who disbands them all, replaces the bands with a new band with a number, then distributes randomly. No one knows what they’re smoking and near the end the organiser does a big reveal of what cigar #1 was, #2 etc.

 

Who has tried one of these and do you have any comments / suggestions / advice?

 

I like the Blind Man’s Puff idea but it sounds fiddly and I can imagine tearing a couple of the wrappers trying to get the bands off, which would be a really bad start!
