I bailed out Matty (top right) 4am after he urinated in public......and decided to run from the police back to the Nacional Hotel before claiming Diplomatic Immunity.

why would this bloke have stolen your gear? he caught more than all of us with a length of rope out the back of his dinghy. it was embarrassing.

this was my first ever bonefish. that rod was a K-mart $60 special organised by Rob (none of us had a clue back then). i could never get the drag to work. then we doiscovered that the drag was actually only painted on. trust me, your first bone on a reel with no drag? now that is a thrill.

i vaguely recall we took it on a nightlife of Havana tour. not our finest moment. Mind you, a long way from our worst.
